Soumi Banerjee is a Doctoral Student, at the School of Social Work, Lund University. Her doctoral research involves a theoretical reinvestigation of peace-building in Kashmir. Her research interests include the politics of identity, forms and questions of peace-building, the state, democracy, secularism and religion with particular focus on South Asia. She is the author of The History of Perpetual War: Indo-Pak Relations (2016) and The Quintessential Other: Performing Gender in Communal Terrorism (2019).
