Caner Tekin, Researcher, Centre for Mediterranean Studies, Ruhr University

Caner Tekin is a researcher at the Centre for Mediterranean Studies at Ruhr University, Bochum. He previously worked at the Georg-Eckert Institute for International Textbook Research as a postdoctoral fellow. His research interests revolve around the politics of historiography, politics of nationalism, and migration politics. He is writing and teaching on the connections between populism, migration, and gender in Europe and Turkey.

Caner has authored Debating Turkey in Europe: Identities and Concepts (2019) and co-edited with Stefan Berger History and Belonging: Representations of European History in Contemporary European Politics (2018).
